Cultural diversity

After 1000 years marrying their cousins or the neighbour next door my family has been spreading across the world. We have for the last half century been in the forefront in multicultural matters.

We have engaged the spirit of the Olympic games for three generations.

Here's why....

My father migrated from Wales and found a young English maid to marry.   He introduced her to eisteffods and music and similar - (but he couldn't teach her to sing)

I found a girl who claims to be half Scottish. After some tuition she has more or less now absorbed the English way of doing things

My son found his wife in London and she turned out to have roots in Palastine and Northern Ireland. I dare make no comment here.

My first niece married an Australian. She seems to have knocked the corks off his hat and they have now moved to China where their little blond children are the centre of much attention - and they are growing up learning to speak Chinese.

Last week my niece Ros topped all that - she married a FRENCHMAN

Her dad sent me this picture of her.  We wish her every happiness for the future.
