Stroll on

In 2009 on the last Sunday in August we walked from Wigley Orchard 8 miles across country to St Michaels and raised about £1500 in sponsorship for Kemp Hospice.

In 2010 on the last Sunday in August we walked from St Michaels 8 miles across country to Wigley Orchard and raised nearly £2000 in sponsorship for Healing Hands Network.

The plan for 2011 is to walk from Wigley Orchard to St Michaels on the last Sunday in August and to raise sponsorship funds to be split evenly between Kemp Hospice and Healing Hands Network.  We will leave Wigley at 10.00am and expect to arrive at St Michaels around 1.00pm. Transport will be on hand to return walkers to base.

Kemp Hospice is a locally based hospice

Healing Hands Network is a UK charity dealing with post traumatic stress suffered by victims of war. Much of the work has been based in Bosnia dealing with the aftermath of the 1990s conflicts.

I'm now well into my training programme and walking to the Baiting House twice a week. It's not quite 3 miles  - but "every little helps"!
