Upgrades

It has never happened to me before...

I went to Heathrow airport to say goodbye to our son David and his family, and recover my Land Rover which he had borrowed. He was returning to New York with his wife and three children - plus luggage sufficient in quantity for the England cricket team, at least. So the check-in process took some time.

Whilst waiting a pleasant lady from the airline approached us and made small talk about the lovely children, activities on the flight, etc etc.

Then it happened....

Another uniformed attendant approached and asked me if I would like to be upgraded to business class.

Unfortunately I could not accept and had to explain I was travelling to Stoke Bliss in Worcestershire - not New York City.
